About the Council

The Weritas Council (WC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Weritas Ecosystem. Our mission is to usher in a new era of financial inclusivity and market efficiency through decentralized, identity-linked credit infrastructure and institutional-grade financial systems.
The WC operates as one vital component of a much larger, decentralized ecosystem. While we fund protocol development, grow the community, and advocate for the network's adoption, the WC does not control or lead Weritas. We are a steward of a public good designed to integrate with, rather than replace, global financial institutions.
Core Mandate
The Council’s mandate is specifically focused on several key strategic areas to ensure the structural health of the Weritas network:
- • Supporting Innovation: Financing and endorsing projects that responsibly advance the adoption of Web5-enabled credit infrastructure and the use of alternative data in on-chain financial protocols.
- • Treasury Management: Overseeing a strategic treasury to facilitate ecosystem growth, maintain protocol stability, and incentivize institutional participation.
- • Contract Deployment & Governance: Issuing protocol governance frameworks and deploying core smart contracts on EVM based Chain to ensure a decentralized and auditable settlement layer.
- • Educating and Promoting Awareness: Increasing global understanding of the Weritas ecosystem and the systemic benefits of identity-driven financial access.
- • Strategic Partnerships and Engagement: Collaborating with global businesses, regulators, and financial institutions to align decentralized infrastructure with existing regulatory environments.
- • Web Application Management: Hosting and maintaining core web applications and decentralized interfaces for key platforms within the ecosystem.
- • Intellectual Property Management: Acquiring, protecting, and handling IP rights related to the Weritas architecture, including the Pulse Score methodology and Web5 implementation frameworks.
- • Community Stewardship: Organizing events, forums, and engagement initiatives to strengthen ties between developers, institutional partners, and the broader community.
